This time we have a good reason to wave Swedish flags, because both of our fresh vinyl-releases come from that beautiful country with the lamest beer on earth. That’s maybe the reason for all this incredible music – you have to find out something to do because the beer doesn’t make you drunk. This incredible 2LP is released together with Jelle Crama, who is also responsible for the beautiful silk screened covers here. The release was fertilized from our love towards the TRPE tape Lal Lal Lal had already put out. It had to be on vinyl and we needed more of those outstanding songs. TRPE’s (formerly known as Johannes Nilsson) music is hard to describe. It’s joyful, catchy, repetitive and earthbound. To name some collagues, you could find their sound waves vibrating somewhere between The Plastic People of the Universe, Pärson Sound, Caroliner or Philemon Arthur and the Dung. The band comes from a small village of Järna where the members have played together since babies, making music for something like 15 years. That’s where the unique style and excellent songs have slowly gained their form.

"And speaking of Lal Lal Lal and its documentation of some of the sicker sounds of new Sweden, they've also gone and released a gatefold double LP by the one and only Ray Pacino Ensemble. Their Be My Lonely Night cassette was one of the best things Lal Lal Lal put out in 2006, and that whole thing has been reissued here as the first record, with all new songs on the second slab. I'm not quite sure how to describe this band from the village of Järna except to say that they sound like 2000s post-punk weirdos possessed simultaneously by the spirits of a 1930s Scandinavian dancehall oompah band and some cracked 1960s folk troubadours. Ten listens later and I can't do any better than that, but no matter how strange it gets, TRPE is always there to play another song, and they're all surprising catchy and avant-garde and inexplicably effective. As is the hand-sewn gatefold sleeve, with its art by Jelle Crama and totally incomprehensible liner notes...." - Larry "Fuzz-O" Dolman / Blastitude
